The company also operates a production facility in Quebec, Canada, that uses hydro and wind power to provide 99.8% clean renewable energy. Culp Home Fashions is currently working with the Quebec government in an effort to locate recycling facilities in close proximity to its Quebec location, with the goal to achieve landfill free status for this facility as well. Culp, Inc. is one of the world’s largest marketers of mattress fabrics for bedding and upholstery fabrics for residential and commercial furniture. The company markets a variety of fabrics to its global customer base of leading bedding and furniture companies, including fabrics produced at Culp’s manufacturing facilities and fabrics sourced through other suppliers.
Also in August of 2017, the CHF Distribution Center expansion was completed and is now fully operational. The expansion added 225,000 square feet to the plant and signaled the move of Culp Knits to CHF in Stokesdale. CULP HOME FASHIONS ACHIEVES SUSTAINABILITY AWARD AT STOKESDALE, NORTH CAROLINA, FACILITY
This award highlights Culp’s ongoing initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint and promote sustainability. As part of this effort, Culp Home Fashions has been working with ICE Recycling since 2017 to achieve landfill free status at the company’s Stokesdale, North Carolina, production facility. Based in Lake City, South Carolina, ICE Recycling custom designs plans for local businesses to divert their waste products away from landfills. ICE Recycling specializes in carbon footprint reduction by the bailing, grinding and packaging of recycling materials for alternate end uses. Culp conducted extensive employee training and followed strict guidelines and procedures to reach this goal for Stokesdale. Together, these initiatives reinforce Culp’s company-wide commitment to sustainable production and environmental responsibility across its operations.
Calendar year 2018 has been a transformational year for Culp Home Fashions, as we have expanded and renovated ALL of our facilities. The completion of these projects enhances our ability to innovate, design and service our markets in both mattress fabrics and cut and sewn finished covers. CIH- Class International Holdings, is located in Haiti-based Codevi, an industrial park that has moved from a vision to the largest employer in the country’s Northern region.

This facility, known as CLASS, is expected to achieve landfill free status within four to six months.
